Summer Program July 2011 

Solar System and Space Tavel

July 4 -29

Mon-Fri

9am-3pm

Age 3-12

Monthly: $565

Morning Or Afternoon: $425

Weekly: $150

This summer we will be exploring all the realms of the solar system and all the adventures of space exploration. We will be studying astronomy, conducting many science experiments, creating many works of art with spacey materials and much, much more. During the month the children will be developing a space concert which they will perform at the end of the month. The possibilities are as immense as the universe!

July 4 - July 8 Composition of the Universe 

We will be learning about the theories of how the universe was formed, learning about the sun, what makes a galaxy, black holes, learning about astronomers etc. All the awesome wonders of the universe!!! There is so much information to learn!!!

July 11 - July 15 Stars and Constellations

We will be examining the heavens and be able to recognize constellations! We will be studying meteorites, asteroids and nebula! We want to go to the Space Centre right away so we can learn and remember intriguing information as we continue studying in the month of July.

July 18 - July 22 Planets

Each day will bring us into deep study of a particular planet and the unique features this planet has. We will learn and listen to melodies of great composer Gustav Holst for which he composed special music for the planets we will have fantastic are and science projects of course! We will also have a field trip to Science World to watch the IMAX – Hubble!

July 25 - July 29 Earth and Space Exploration                       

We will be looking at our own amazing planet and the wonderful world of robotics and space exploration. We will learn about rockets, astronauts and the space station. We will have an amazing celebration of all the ideas the children have learned about as they perform their special concert at our amazing space party!!
