Babycare at its Best! Our babies are wrapped in love and guided and encouraged by experienced and qualified caregivers. the Montessori approach encourages independence in dressing and eating, along with appropriate development of fine and large motor skills. The children are exposed to a wide variety of activities, from outdoor play to indoor exploration, including plenty of stories and books, music and movement, arts and crafts and sensorial and nature discovery.
Our Infant/Toddler Care centres serve babies from ages 4 months to 3 years.

Angel Yang
Yu‐Li Angel Yang was born in South Taiwan in 1973, where she completed her second year of university.
She immigrated to Canada with her two brothers and a sister, in 1996. She then took the Montessori
step to her current credentials was the Infant/Toddler diploma from Burnaby College. But what
training and achieved her Early Childhood Certification from Century College, in Vancouver. The last
probably best qualifies her for this work is having her own son, Tareq, bor
n in 2006.
Angel loves the green spaces in Surrey – so different from the crowded living back home in Taiwan.
When she’s not looking after your or her little ones, she may be practicing yoga, jogging or walking on
the beach.
Angel has worked at Roots and Wings since 2000, first with a special needs child, then for six years in the
preschool and daycare. We’re as delighted as you are that she is now heading up our Babycare
program.

Amy likes spending time with her 11 years-old stepdaughter and their two dogs and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, reading, working out, and retreating to their family cabin in BC's interior with her parents and siblings as often as possible.
Ella Lee
Ella was born in Taiwan and grew up in Canada. She studied at Douglas College where she earned a degree in early childhood education with a specialty in childcare for infants and toddlers as well as children with special needs. Ella widened her horizon by spending three months in Sweden learning the country’s well renowned childcare system.
Melissa Prohaska
Melissa was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. She graduated from the Langley College as an Early Childhood Educator. Very much a family person, Melissa spends her summers fishing with her grandparents on Vancouver Island.
