Last night someone smashed our classroom window and stole our mounted television/DVD player and class laptop. This engendered a group discussion that yielded important life lessons:
1. There are no “bad” people; just some who need help, who are hurt, confused and uneducated.
2. When people act negatively, we can help them see their strengths and support them, rather than condemning them.
3. To be a positive influence in the world, we don’t respond to sensation and drama, but rather seek the good in any event.
