This is to provide you with the most current update on our buildings as our moving date approaches.

The last day for the primary and extended day programs at our current location will be March 9^th, the day before Spring break. Both programs will commence in their new locations on March 26^th, right after Spring break.

New locations

1. Roots and Wings Heritage House – 15250 54A Avenue (behind the creek)

Primary, Extended day, Daycare 3-5, After-school care

The renovation of the heritage house is well underway and will be completed by March 1^st.  The interior of the Heritage house has been completely remodeled and now offers two spacious levels with natural lighting, providing a comfortable, warm atmosphere. The directresses and daycare staff who will be moving into this location are eagerly planning their new layouts. The natural playground and surrounding landscape will be the last to be completed before the opening date. Check out the photo display in the foyer!

1. Roots and Wings Montessori at Campbell Valley – 982 200^th Street, Langley

Primary, Extended day, Intermediate, Senior, Secondary (daycare 3-5)

Our elementary and secondary programs have been enjoying this spacious, rural location since September 2011, and will now be joined by Lauren and Anoma’s class. A daycare facility for children 3 to 5 years old will be open as soon as all requirements are met.

1. Roots and Wings Montessori at Sullivan - #101/102-15295 #10 Hwy (next to Dairy Queen)

12 infants, 12 toddlers, 24 children 3 to 5 years old

This beautiful, bright centre is now fully operational under Arceli’s guidance, and is still accepting new children.

Where will your child’s program be from March 26^th to June 27^th, 2012?

1. 1) Veronique and Shahr’s morning classroom will stay together and move into the first level of the Heritage house.
2. 2) Chami and Maureen’s morning classroom will stay together and move into the second level of the Heritage house.
3. 3) Chami/Tammy and Maureen/Shahr’s afternoon classrooms are currently smaller groups, so they will be combined successfully in the second level of the heritage house.
4. 4) Daycare: In the afternoon, the first level space in the heritage house will open as a daycare for all pre-school children who currently require or will need afternoon daycare. Before-school daycare will also be provided in the same room.
5. 5) After-school care program will take place in the second level space after the afternoon primary children have left.
6. 6) Lauren and Anoma’s classroom: All extended day (kindergarten) children will go to the Campbell Valley school in Langley for the full day. A bus service will be provided for those ED children whose parents are not able to drive to Langley. The bus will depart from the heritage house at 8:05 a.m. and return back to the same place at 3:25 p.m.

Little ones (3 and 4 years-old) whose parents are unable to bring them to Langley, and the children who need daycare in the afternoon, will be transferred to either Veronique/Shahr or Chami/Maureen morning’s class. The choice will be made to best meet the needs of each child according to his/her teacher’s recommendation with full support of the child’s parents.

School year 2012-2013

Our Heritage house will have:

1. a full-day daycare for up to 24 children aged 30 months to 5 years old
2. a morning primary class and an afternoon primary class for up to 24 children each.

Five-year old children will be able to stay for a full day and benefit from the extensive curriculum of our full day program in the afternoon.

Our Roots and Wings Montessori at Campbell Valley will have:

1. an elementary and a secondary programs
2. two primary classrooms with an extended day program
3. a daycare for children aged 30 months to 5-year old.

As long as there is sufficient demand, a bus service between the heritage house and the Campbell Valley school will be provided for children 5 years old and older, all costs to be covered by the families using the service. This will no longer be a free service as it is this year. The transportation fee will be determined by the number of users.

Our Roots and Wings Montessori at Sullivan will have:

1. an infant/toddler daycare for children aged 4 months to 30 months old
2. a daycare for children 30 months to 5 years old.
